Some local voters will be heading to the polls next month.
Gov. Dannel Malloy announced today there will be a special election on Feb. 24.
Voters in Bridgeport and Stratford will elect a new state senator to replace Andres Ayala, who Malloy appointed as commissioner of the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Bridgeport voters will also elect a new state representative to replace Auden Grogins, who Malloy nominated to be a Superior Court judge.
