Officials say a Stafford man was arrested Tuesday after an investigation concerning the shooting a pet dog in the face.
They say it happened on Collette Road West in April.
Police say they obtained a search warrant for Christopher Josephs home and found several unsecured guns in the house whom he shared with children.
Josephs is charged with illegal discharge of a firearm and five counts of risk of injury to a minor.
He was released from custody after posting a $50,000 bond and is due in court Nov. 19.
