Charter Oak Communities held a dedication ceremony Wednesday for its newest mixed-use development project, Park 215 on Stillwater Avenue.
The five-story building will have residential and commercial space, totaling over 136,000 square feet.
The building will feature office space and 78 one-and-two-bedroom apartments.
Park 215 is one of many projects happening around the state designed to create more affordable housing.
Connecticut Department of Housing Commissioner Evonne Klein said, “Every city and town has demonstrated a need for a more affordable and multifamily housing and its helping Connecticut to attract a vibrant workforce which includes millennials and young families while offering an opportunity to our seniors to downsize.”
Funding for the project came from local, state and federal resources including the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
