A basement fire broke out inside a Stamford home Friday displacing a family, officials say.
The fire broke out inside the basement of a home on Wilson Street and Madison Place around 7:50 a.m.
Firefighters were able to put the fire out quickly but the house was damaged by smoke.
A family who lives in the house has been temporarily displaced as a result of the fire.
Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
