Stamford Girl Scouts learned about first responders and their day to day responsibilities during their annual Camporee at Cove Island Park.
The girls were shown fire, ambulance and police gear and were able to explore their vehicles and truck.
Local police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel attended the event.
The girls were also taught how to handle emergency situations with the help of a guide.
Organizers say their goal is to teach the girls to be better prepared in case of any emergency.
Around 100 Girl Scouts participated in the event.
