Stamford High School students are helping the community deck the halls and trim Christmas trees.
About 400 trees were placed in the student parking lot for the annual Christmas tree sale. It's a tradition that's been going on for over 30 years.
For the last two years, Friends of Stamford High PTO has been leading the way to make sure all of the students and staff get involved.
“We have a lot of fundraising that we do at school and some of the things that we put the money toward are like the Dare to Dream program, which are grants for teachers as well as scholarships for students,” says Nancy Herz, co-president of the Stamford PTO.
Students will be selling the trees until all 400 are sold.
Trees will be sold on weekdays from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., and on weekends from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
