A group of kids in Stamford spent their first day of summer vacation selling lemonade to raise money for the city's animal shelter.
The young social entrepreneurs set up a stand on Ledge Lane and charged $1 per cup. They also sold candy.
They say they plan on giving a portion of the day's grand total to the Stamford Animal Control Center so stray animals can be taken of care of while waiting for their forever homes.
