A Stamford man was killed after he drove his car into the Connecticut River Saturday in Middletown, police say.
It happened just before 7:30 a.m. just off of Harbor Driver.
Police dive teams and the Middletown Fire Department recovered the body of 51-year-old Gautam Ramesh Mirchandani from a submerged car.
His vehicle was also recovered.
It's not clear what caused the crash.
