Stamford police: 28-year-old man arrested in connection to weekend shooting

Stamford police have announced that they made an arrest in connection to a shooting that killed a woman and left two men injured over the weekend.

Stamford police have announced that they made an arrest in connection to a shooting that killed a woman and left two men injured over the weekend.
Following the incident, detectives say information developed that 28-year-old Ian Evans was a person of interest in the shooting that resulted in the death of 35-year-old Shernetta Dunmore early Sunday morning.
The shooting that also left a Stamford man and a Bridgeport man injured happened in the parking lot at the Oak Park Apartment complex near Ursula Place and Dale Street.
Police say they requested help from the United States Marshall Service on the case.
Authorities say they located Evans on Thursday at a residence in Bridgeport, where Stamford investigators executed a search and seizure warrant at the home.
Evans is charged with assult, criminal attempt at assault in the first degree, criminal use of a firearm and reckless endangerment.
He is being held on $1 million bond.
