A Stamford framing and restoration business has not only been rebuilt but is thriving following a devastating fire.
Owners Ana Maria and Alain Bars say their main goal was to rescue customers' artwork, but they lost 90% of what was inside.
Almost two months later, the owners were able to reopen around the corner at 96 Bedford St. The couple says it might take up to two years before their original space is finished being rebuilt.
With their expansive space, they have added an art gallery to showcase local and international artists.
The couple says their
store has brought the community together through art.
"When people come to a place like this, they communicate with each other they don't know each other but being in this environment they end up really communicating and exchange ideas and opinions. It's a good thing, It's what we want, we want something that will make you react," says Alain Bars.
The couple says the community in return has been incredible and has lifted them up during this difficult time.
The store is open Tuesday through Saturday.
