Stamford is rolling out a new way to park this week.
The city introduced a new pay-by-app parking system.
With the "Parkmobile" app, users can type in their parking space number and how long they want to park.
Parking time can also be added remotely, without returning to the meter.
"So if you're late to a movie or you're late for your train, you don't have to wait in line for everyone else at the pay station," says Stamford Transportation Chief Joshua Benson.
The app charges users a 35-cent convenience fee for each use.
Parkmobile is also in use in Norwalk and parts of Greenwich.
