Stamford police say a teenager is recovering after being shot over the weekend.
News 12 is told the victim is a 14-year-old boy, who was a passenger in a car on Strawberry Hill Avenue when he was hit around 10 p.m. Saturday. Police say another vehicle pulled up alongside the teen's car and opened fire.
The boy was shot in the leg and had his chest grazed by another bullet.
Investigators say they believe the latest shooting is connected to the ongoing feud between groups of young men in the city's east and west sides. They attribute those disputes to most of the two dozen shots-fired calls police have received over the past several months.
Additional patrols and more officers on the streets talking to the young men are part of the attempt to get guns off the streets and prevent violence.
Police say they do not yet have a suspect in the latest case. Anyone with information can call the Stamford Police Department.
