Stamford officials unveiled a new, upgraded 911 communication system.
Officials say the new system has some big benefits.
Dispatchers can now see the exact location of police cars and other emergency vehicles so they can dispatch the nearest crew in an emergency.
They say they can also determine how urgent a situation is before sending a crew.
