The Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles says it has successfully lowered wait times at its 18 branch locations.
The Day on New London newspaper says DMV data shows that wait times averaged an hour in June, down from two hours and 41 minutes last August.
Despite the drop, the agency's commissioner says the wait time is still too long.
