A charter school in Norwalk today celebrated a significant state grant to help improve the school.
Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff, of Norwalk, says the state will allocate $2.5 million to Side by Side Charter School. 
Duff says the money will help the school replace its portable classrooms and provide a safe place for kids to learn.
Duff says the state also recently granted Norwalk Public Schools $1.4 million for school construction.
