Authorities are taking steps to shut down a controversial Milford recycling center, one day after the state suspended its application to expand.
State lawmakers now say Recycling Incorporated is a public health and safety risk and must be shut down immediately.,
State Sen. Gayle Slossberg says city and state officials are taking steps to revoke the company's general permit.
The state has suspended the center's application to expand after two people went to court, each claiming to own it.
