There's a shortage of lifeguards to watch over state park beaches this summers.
Because of the shortage, Indian Well State Park in Shelton will not be staffed with lifeguards this season.
Several other state parks will only be staffed up to five days a week instead of seven. Those parks include Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, Silver Sands State Park in Milford and Black Rock State Park in Watertown.
The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says it will continue to recruit and train lifeguards, adding them as it can.
