Two people are dead after a crash in Fairfield shutdown I-95 for several hours Friday morning.

It happened near Exit 22 northbound just after midnight.

State police say the accident involved two cars and a tractor-trailer.

They say a Chevrolet in the center lane spun out for an unknown reason and collided with the concrete barrier.

A BMW hit the car as a result.

The driver of the Chevrolet, William Foster, of Bridgeport, was ejected from the vehicle.

Meanwhile, a tractor-trailer hit the Chevrolet and also collided into the barrier.

Both Foster and the tractor-trailer driver were pronounced dead at the scene.

The highway reopened just before 7 a.m.

Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
