Connecticut State Police are starting their extra patrols for the holiday today.
State troopers say they'll have extra patrols on I-95, and the Merritt and Wilbur Cross parkways.
They say they will also increase patrols on routes 7, 8, 15 and 25.
Troopers say they'll be on the lookout for impaired drivers, aggressive drivers and speeders, and those not wearing their seatbelts.
