The state budget office says Connecticut is projected to finish the fiscal year with a $121 million deficit.
That is a slight improvement from projections made in February.
Budget officials say April tax collections could have a big impact on the spending gap, but it is still too early tell if they will help or make the deficit worse.
Connecticut's fiscal year ends June 30.
