The state treasurer has gotten the OK for a $550 million emergency loan to help the state pay its bills through the winter.
Denise Nappier got the approval this week from Gov. Dannel Malloy for the emergency financing.
This marks the second time in three years the state has needed short-term financial help to cover its operating expenses.
