State police say a trooper is recovering this morning after his cruiser was hit by a drunken driver on Route 8.
They say it happened while the trooper was making a traffic stop between Beacon Falls and Seymour last night.
Police say the trooper suffered just minor injuries.
The accident caused major delays in that area.
