State’s attorney probes allegations of racist texts by ex-police captain
The Bridgeport state's attorney has launched an investigation into allegations against a retired police captain.
Mark Straubel is accused of sending racist texts. One of those texts was allegedly about him hoping for a race war.
The Connecticut Post has reported that Chief AJ Perez has not yet handed over key evidence that was requested weeks ago.
Perez told the Connecticut Post that the attorney should have the evidence by now and that he has ordered all information downloaded from Straubel's phone.
