A statewide push for banning polystyrene containers in restaurants and schools is being considering in Connecticut.

The statewide ban has failed to pass for nearly a decade, if it passes, the new law would not kick-in until 2028 giving restaurants two years to adjust.

The city of Stamford banned polystyrene containers six years ago.
