A lawsuit is claiming that the founder of Stew Leonard?s grocery stores caused the death of a man last year while recklessly boating.
The suit claims that Stew Leonard Sr. operated a powerboat near the Caribbean island of Tortola at high speeds and in turbulent waters, leading to Robert Speranza being swept off the boat.
The suit names Leonard Sr., his son Thomas and the company that owns the boat. The deceased?s widow is seeking millions in damages.
