Several Bridgeport businesses were without electricity most of Saturday after overnight storms knocked down power lines in the area.

Business owners like Lamar Pringle say the power outage comes at the busiest time of the week. Pringle owns a barber shop and restaurant, which he was forced to close for the day.

Strong winds and heavy rains caused the power line on Renzy Avenue near Main Street to fall. Pringle says going without power during the busy weekend day will make paying the bills a little tougher this month.
