A number of communities were left cleaning up after fierce storms hit western Connecticut Thursday.
Viewers sent News 12 photos of hail in Easton, and video from Weston shows rain nearly coming down sideways.
The town of Woodbridge was also hit particularly hard. Power outages were reported throughout town due to numerous fallen trees and power lines.
United Illuminating said most affected customers had service restored by the evening. Eversource Energy said Weston was among the hardest hit towns in its service area.
The big story on the shoreline was rain. Video from Norwalk shows zero visibility and blinding conditions along Route 7.
There were no reports of major accidents or injuries early Thursday evening.
