STORM WATCH: Cold today; chilly and dry this weekend

Connecticut finally got some well-needed rain, along with snow in some areas! A taste of winter finishes out the week.

There may still be slick spots out there from this morning's coating of snow, so tread carefully whether on foot or on the road. But don't get too attached to that snow because of the warm ground temps.
Today's highs will climb into the 40s and flirt with 50, melting any hopes of a winter wonderland. Areas north toward Litchfield County could continue to see flakes through the afternoon if colder air continues to chill.
This soggy spell wraps up Saturday morning. Then the weekend hits us with drier, friendlier vibes. But don't get too excited about the rain fixing the drought, we're still over 8 inches in the rainfall hole from this fall.
On the bright side, the weekend looks decent - just chilly. There are more rain chances on Tuesday, and another storm might crash your Thanksgiving plans, but it's still in the "maybe" pile.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy, with a few showers. Much colder. High of 47.
SATURDAY: Partly sunny. High of 48.
SUNDAY: Sun and clouds. High of 52.
MONDAY: Sun and clouds. High of 54.
TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy, shower chance. High of 57.
