STORM WATCH: Rain tonight, cold and windy tomorrow

Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says rain showers will continue on and off throughout the evening. Not much will fall but the winds will pick up and usher in colder air for tonight.

NOW: Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says rain showers will continue on and off throughout the evening. Not much will fall but the winds will pick up and usher in colder air for tonight. Blustery feel later this evening. Mild for right now.

FORECAST: Light rain will change to some snow showers tonight. Not much will fall, so no worries about accumulations of any kind.

Temperatures will drop into the 20s tonight. Winds gusts could be 30-40 mph and make temperatures in the upper 20s feel more like the single digits and teens tomorrow morning. Highs will be in the lower to middle 40s the next two days, but it will feel more like the 30s.

Winter continues to have a grip across the tri-state with temperatures and winds that you'll need to layer up for. Behind the cold, a storm is brewing for the area by Saturday morning. Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright shares the timing and details here.

Dry weather until Saturday. There is the potential for a coastal storm with a lot of rain and wind.

Flooding could be a concern with two to three inches of rain failing. Saturday looks like a wash, at least through the first half of the day.

Slight risk of some wintry mix during the onset as the storm moves in late Friday night. Colder and breezy on Sunday.

THURSDAY: Mostly sunny and breezy. Feels like the mid-30s during the daytime. Gusts could reach 30-40 mph. High of 42.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and chilly. More clouds and even some rain/snow at night. High of 44.
