Kyle Navin has pleaded guilty in the murder of his parents.
His case had been set to go to trial Tuesday. He will be sentenced to 55 years in prison.
Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin disappeared in August 2015. The Easton couple was discovered about three months later, shot to death and dumped in the woods behind an empty home in Weston.
Police say Navin was addicted to drugs and angry about his parents' plans to write him out of their will.
Navin was previously offered a deal of 60 years behind bars, with the chance to argue for less, but rejected that offer. His attorney, Eugene Riccio, says that when the court denied a series of motions to suppress evidence, taking the plea deal was the best of the "not great" options.
Prosecutors were unavailable to discuss the case.
Navin's girlfriend, Jennifer Valiante, pleaded guilty to hindering the prosecution and is serving an eight-year sentence.
Navin is due back in court June 29.
