It's now been eight weeks since New Canaan mother of five Jennifer Dulos disappeared.
Dulos was last seen May 24 dropping her kids off at school in New Canaan. Her estranged husband Fotis Dulos and his girlfriend Michelle Troconis both face charges in connection to her disappearance.
Officials believe she was the victim of a violent assault.
In western Connecticut, many people are watching closely and want to do something to help find the missing mother, including small businesses.
The owner of Forever Sweet Bakery in Norwalk, Sky Mercede, has helped organize the effort for businesses to participate. He told News 12 “we have to do something bigger" when asked about how the community can help find Dulos.
The owners of Italia in Norwalk, Planet Pizza in Norwalk, and Pinocchio's in New Canaan have joined in the effort. They have put flyers on all their pizza boxes that have Dulos' picture on them.
Across town, attorney Alice McQuaid has also been impacted by the case. She is now distributing pink bracelets for free that say, "Justice for Jennifer" and "Find missing mom." The bracelets are free and meant to show hope for answers in the case.
She says the idea came to her after talking to her colleagues in court and her friends who all have children.
"It's a total and complete tragedy," she said. "There's a mom of five kids missing. That's not ok with any of us."
