A man was shot three times early Tuesday at an intersection in Bridgeport, police say.
The incident happened on Sixth Street and Stratford Avenue around 1:47 a.m.
Police say the man was shot three times, but that he was alert and speaking at the time first responders rendered aid.
He was transported to the hospital, and police say he suffered non-life threatning injuries.
Police say no arrests have been made, and that the Bridgeport Police Detective's Bureau is investigating.
The shooting comes as a wave of recent violence, including three fatal shootings, has gripped the city over the past five days.
