The First Baptist Church in Stratford held a service to call for change in the aftermath of the restrained death of George Floyd.
Residents, including the town's mayor and religious leaders, gathered with prayer and music despite rainy weather.
"One of the most remarkable things I think we've seen in the last week and a half is how white people are waking up to the reality of the inequalities and the inequities in our society," said Pastor of the First Baptist Church David Spollett
A similar service was held Friday in Fairfield by some of the same organizers.
