Stratford firefighters are searching for the cause of a late night fire that badly damaged a home.
It broke out around 11:30 p.m. inside a three-story home on Elm Street.
Firefighters say flames engulfed the second floor by the time they arrived and were spreading to the third floor.
Crews had to tear open the roof to get at the flames.
They say no one was home at the time, but crews did rescue two cats.
