The lawyer representing a Stratford condo complex now says a resident can keep a religious symbol on her door post.
The California Street Condo Association was fining Barbara Cadranel $50 a day after she refused to remove a Mezuzah from the door frame of her unit.
They cited strict rules barring anything from being placed on common property.
The lawyer for the association says the controversy grew out of a misunderstanding over the significance of the symbol and Cadranel will not be fined.
