Stray bullet narrowly misses Bridgeport man’s wife, grandchild; calls for stepped up patrols
A man in Bridgeport is calling on police to step up patrols in his neighborhood four months after a bullet came within a few feet of striking his wife and grandchild.
"A bullet came through this window, hit up right here at the ceiling,” Orlando Perez told News 12.
Perez says he and his family haven't felt safe for the past four months, adding he believes the incident is connected to drug dealing in the area along Arctic Street, on the city's East Side.
City officials tell News 12 that Bridgeport police are actively investigating this incident.
“We take these matters seriously and ask the public to assist us with any information they may have to help us make an arrest,” said Bridgeport Police Captain Brian Fitzgerald.
