Classes are being held Friday at Stamford's Stillmeadow Elementary School after a bomb scare shut down the school.
The building was evacuated Thursday because of a suspicious vehicle parked at the school. The bomb squad was called in to investigate the out-of-state truck after the driver could not be found.
Administrators told police the truck had no official business at the school, so investigators ran the Michigan license plate. They discovered the number was not valid. A phone number on the side of the truck linked to a distribution company was not in service. Police say the inability to locate the driver caused most of the suspicion.
Police still have not tracked down the truck's owner. The truck was towed from the school.
