A new AAA study shows infotainment systems inside cars have too many functions unrelated to driving.
Drivers using the new technology to do things, such as programming navigation or sending a text, were distracted for more than 40 seconds.
The number more than doubles the risk of a crash.
With one in three drivers using the infotainment systems, AAA says the new technologies could have dangerous consequences.
