Neighbors in the Success Village community in Bridgeport say they have spent the past several weeks meeting with various candidates for mayor to share their concerns about their complex.
Democratic candidate Joe Ganim and Republican candidate Enrique Torres spent Sunday morning campaigning there.
Residents say they are concerned their complex won't be able to keep people warm during the colder months.
Resident Angel Figoroea says the community's boilers are so old and were so problematic last winter, that he doesn't feel confident they'll be able to heat it when the mercury drops.
The community's Board of Directors says it has recently spent more than $500,000 fighting lawsuits from residents, when that money could have been better spent replacing the boilers.
It added that the boilers passed a state inspection on Friday.
