Police say a man has been arrested in connection to the stabbing death of a good Samaritan in Bridgeport.
Mario Chavez, 53, is accused of stabbing Francisco Barbosa-Vega, 23, when he tried to break up a fight between two other men.
Police say Chavez was on the loose since the night of the murder in May 2012. He was found earlier this month in Miami.
Ashley Gutierrez, a friend of the victim, was in the courtroom Tuesday when Chavez was charged with murder and ordered to be held on $900,000 bond.
Gutierrez says she will not feel that justice has been served until Chavez is sentenced to life in prison.
Chavez is due back in court Jan. 6.
