Suspect in four Bridgeport murders back in CT to face charges
The man accused of four Bridgeport murders from more than a decade ago is back in Connecticut to face the charges.
Detectives worked the cases for years before getting the break they needed to link Emanuel Webb to the murders. He was in jail in Georgia when Bridgeport police claim they linked his DNA to samples found at the murder scenes from the early '90s.
Webb was charged last year with strangling 34-year-old Elizabeth Gandy to death in 1993. He was later charged with the murders of three other women. Gandy's daughter, Tequea, says she hopes Webb spends the rest of his life in prison, but she wouldn't mind if the state pursues the death penalty.
Webb is being held on $4 million bond. He did not enter a plea when he appeared in court Thursday.
