Mayor Joe Ganim said the City of Bridgeport is offering a $1,300 break on property taxes for residents 65 and older.

If you're eligible, you must apply by Wednesday.

“A very important step to helping seniors make ends meet, especially seniors on fixed incomes,” said Ganim. “This tax cut for seniors will go a long way to relieving them of some of the burden of property taxes.”

Seniors can go to the tax office on Broad Street to apply.
