A 14-year-old boy is expected to be OK Wednesday after he was shot in the eye with a BB gun.
Police say that the incident happened at around 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at Hatch Park, off of Perry Street.
Police say the three suspects in the case are all teenagers.
Officers say they caught one of the suspects because he left his backpack at the scene. Police say he is not cooperating and won't tell them who he was with.
Investigators say they are still looking for the other two teenagers involved, including the one who pulled the trigger.
Police say one of the most disturbing things about the crime is that a lot of children witnessed it.
"What's more troublesome is the park was packed yesterday," says Stamford Police Lt. Diedrich Hohn. "It was a warm summer day. There were a lot of kids between the ages of 10 and 12 playing in the water park there, eating ice cream and this happened right in front of them."
Police say they are going through security camera footage to see if there is any video of the suspects.
