There is an elevated risk of fire spread for southern Connecticut Tuesday.
Humidity levels in the afternoon will drop down to 30%.
Winds won't be terrible, but can gust up to 20 mph in the afternoon.
Temperatures will be warm, and there will be a lot of dry brush as drought conditions persist.
Tuesday will be another warm day, with temperatures in the lower 60s.
Along the immediate shoreline, it will be a few degrees cooler due to the wind coming off the cooler Sound.
A southerly wind will bring in cooler conditions along the coast, but inland areas will end up being a lot warmer.
The clouds will collect Thursday and Friday.
There is a slight risk of a few sprinkles or rogue showers, but measurable rain will be hard to come by for several days. It finally does, but probably not until Sunday.
The rain on Sunday could be moderate to heavy with that soaking we really need.
Temperatures will also warm back up for the weekend, too.
TUESDAY: Sunny. High of 60.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny. High of 50.
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy. Few sprinkles. High of 47.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy. High of 56.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy. Few sprinkles. High of 59.
SUNDAY: Moderate rain. High of 61.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny. High of 62.
