A Bridgeport man is facing several charges after allegedly forcing his way into a house and holding a couple at gunpoint.
Police say Terrence Simpson, 32, pushed his way into a house on Kossuth Street with a shotgun early yesterday morning, shortly after midnight.
Felix Ortiz and his wife Sara say that the gunman thought their son had stolen money and his iPad. They say it was a case of mistaken identity and that they are grateful that Simpson is behind bars on $500,000 bond.
The couple's son called 911 and Simpson was arrested.
The shotgun was later found behind a home on Park Street.
Simpson is due back in court later this month.
