Even with the price of just about everything going up, you can still find an affordable place to live right in our own backyard, experts say.

Zip code 06851 in Norwalk was ranked eighth on Realtor.com's 2023 hottest zip codes in America.

"When we look at inflation, rent prices are still sticky high," said Caleb Silver, of Investopedia. "Across the major counties in Connecticut, Fairfield County is seeing a slight drop from last year. A little over half a percent. Average rent is still about two thousand a month."

Silver says rents in Hartford County have gone up 2%, and over 3% in New Haven County. He says prices may go down at the end of next year.
