More than 3,000 people in Fairfield raced through part of town Sunday as part of the annual Faxon Law Fairfield Half Marathon held at Jennings Beach.

Organizers say the event is a way for the community to raise funds and support for local organizations.

"I think it represents community spirit," says Steve Lobdell, of Fairfield. "I think it represents the best of all the good things that go on in this town, from the Fairfield Fire Department right through to the YMCA."
