An alleged burglary in progress was reported at an occupied home on Five Mile River Road in Darien early Thursday morning.
The homeowner told police that three individuals were trying to get inside the house at about 6 a.m.
Police say the individuals were confronted and left the scene before officers arrived.
The incident remains under investigation, and officers will continue to monitor the area.
