Torrington Public Schools started with delays Tuesday due to the theft of catalytic converters from school buses.
Torrington public schools issued an alert to parents on their website early Tuesday.
The message read, "Unfortunately, we will have a two hour delay today, Jan.10th, due to the theft of the catalytic converters on our buses. We apologize for any inconvenience. The investigation is ongoing."
Officials did not say how many school buses were impacted as a result of the theft.
