After storms this week brought flooding, towns across Connecticut are cleaning up the damage left behind.
The National Weather service says almost seven and a half inches of rain fell in Trumbull from this week's storm, one of the highest totals in the state.
Trumbull High School was flooded and had to close Wednesday and today.
Cleanup crews from a company in Norwalk are in high demand all over the state, including Trumbull.
Fairfield firefighters spread out through the town to help homes and businesses that were flooded out. Officials say they received about 6 inches of rain during the storm. Many of the homes that were flooded were not in areas where flood insurance is mandatory, leaving homeowners with big repair bills.
The fire department wants to remind everyone to use any generators outside the house and away from any windows to prevent any carbon monoxide exposure.
Bridgeport was also a town to receive flooding damage.
Officials are asking home and business owners to report any damage caused by the flooding.
The city says it's going to compile a list and submit it to state emergency management officials. They say they are looking for damage that is not covered by insurance.
